May 1 marks the beginning of Jewish Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the richness of Jewish culture, heritage, and history in Canada. In the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ School District, we support all learners to develop a sense of connection, belonging and positive personal and cultural identity.
We are fortunate to have the second-largest Jewish community in B.C.Ìý Jewish Heritage Month provides an opportunity to celebrate and highlight Jewish communities for their valuable contributions to the growth and prosperity of Ï㽶ֱ²¥. It is also a time to acknowledge Jewish excellence which has resulted in a rich cultural fabric in our community and beyond.
