Capturing their favourite foods in photographs and displaying them on paper plates, they sparked engaging classroom discussions about cultural diversity and shared experiences.
Following their engaging photography project, the students transitioned to creating self-portraits using sharpies. Reflecting on their own images, they focused on illustrating the qualities they most appreciated about themselves. This process of self-reflection and creativity then blossomed into an exciting group painting activity. Here, they had the opportunity to experiment with a wide array of art materials, such as paintbrushes, pipettes and squeegees.
