A Long-Range Facilities Plan (LRFP) is a board approved document that:Ìý

  • Outlines facilities management strategies to support the long-term accommodation of projected students and educational programs.
  • Places the need for capital projects in a district-wide context and plays a key role in the submission of capital project requests and annual updates to the District’s Five-Year Capital Plan.

Background on Current LRFP

The Ï㽶ֱ²¥ School District’s Long-Range Facilities Plan (LRFP) was approved by the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Board of Education in June 2019. The first update to the LRFP was completed in November 2021.

The LRFP was approved after a thorough public engagement process where the district engaged with the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ community to gather feedback on the concepts, issues, and strategies related to district facilities planning. The approved LRFP integrated feedback received from the public and partner groups. Ìý

The Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Board of Education recognizes the need for the LRFP to remain current and they are committed to updating the plan on an ongoing basis. You can access to the current LRFP here:Ìý

2025 LRFP

The Board recently initiated the next review and update of its LRFP, with the goal of approving a revised plan in early 2025. The Board’s objective is for the LRFP to continue to align with the district’s evolving student growth trends, long-term facilities needs, educational goals and perspectives of all educational partners in the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ community.

To ensure the updated LRFP accurately reflects the needs and priorities of the community, the Board of Education will begin a public engagement process in Fall 2024. Information and feedback forms will be available at open houses and online to provide opportunities for community participation. All input received from the public engagement will be considered prior to finalizing the 2025 LRFP.
