Pink Shirt Day is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about bullying and promoting kindness, respect and inclusion within our communities. This year, Pink Shirt Day is being observed on February 26, 2025.
Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when two Canadian high school students witnessed a fellow student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. In response, they purchased and distributed pink shirts to their peers as a symbol of unity and solidarity. Since then, Pink Shirt Day has grown into a global movement and is celebrated around the world.
In the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ School District, we are committed to ensuring every student feels safe and supported. We encourage all students, staff and families to join in Pink Shirt Day by wearing pink and participating in activities that promote kindness and inclusivity.Ìý
